I.S. and N.D at the white house

We know Ian Somerhalder (Damon) is a good Samaritan, so we weren’t surprised to learn the Louisiana native was cordially invited to — and will be attending — Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. Our lucky vamp will not only bump shoulders with top government officials, but a host of other celebrity guests as well. And by the by, rumor has it Nina Dobrev (Elena) will be by his side. (Um, hello. Way to fuel those rumors, guys!)

According to The Washington Post, Ian was extended the prestigious invite because of his involvement with The Impact Arts and Film Fund. The Impact Fund just so happens to be hosting a pre-party for the National Journal on Friday, and the National Journal just so happened to hand-pick Ian to attend (a.k.a. “host” him) — obviously because of his awesome environmental efforts. (Okay, and it probably doesn’t hurt that National Journal’s Connie Witherspoon is a huge TVD fan, according to thePost).

The Impact Fund se intampla sa gazduiasca o petrecere pentru National Journal vineri, si National Journal se intampla sa il invite pe Ian - evident din cauza implicarii lui in problemele de mediu. (Bine, si probabil ca nu e nicio problema ca, Connie Witherspoon de la National Journal este o mare fana TVD, conform Post).
